🦍 Garmin Hrm Run Not Connecting
Did a bit of digging and found this link: HRM Comparison Chart. It looks like only the HRM Pro will record heart rate data outside o an activity. The "Swim" and "Tri" can record and transfer HR for an activity where the HRM was already connected but not outside of an activity. 4. dudegivemeabreak.
Heart Rate Features. The Forerunner® device has a wrist-based heart rate monitor and is also compatible with ANT‍+ ® chest heart rate monitors. You can view wrist-based heart rate data on the heart rate widget. When both wrist-based heart rate and ANT‍+ heart rate data are available, your device uses the ANT‍+ heart rate data. Getting
This latest one was a HRM-Pro and didnt even last 3 workouts. Now can't be detected by my Garmin Fenix or Garmin phone app (tried battery upside down trick and all the normal stuff). I would think it's my Fenix 5X that is the issue but my polar armband still connects fine and I did try to connect directly to the garmin iphone app and it would
DC Rainmaker. September 12, 2017 at 4:55 pm #337. The Garmin HRM3 is essentially the base HR strap model, so depending on how old your existing on is, this will be a modest upgrade. It’s different from the HRM-TRI/HRM-SWIM/HRM-RUN, which are all straps that have advanced data metrics in them.
After every training I have to go to settings, sensors and manually disable HRM connection. If I don't do that OHR won't start and my FR935 will continue to read data from HRM RUN / at the beggining nonsense data, because HRM is no more connected to chest strap and then will whow no data, but keeps connected to FR935.
Add a running pod to your garmin watch and it works fine. I do remember that being the case with my old Fenix 3 and TickrX. Didn't want to say anything that I wasn't 100% sure of. IIRC, the HRM-TRI debuted in 2015 at $129, so compared to the meteoric rise in watch prices, I'd say $129 is an ok price for this.

Polar beat is a phone app you can use with a chest strap to track running and workouts. In this case trampoline. You need a garmin watch/bike head unit to use the HRM. it is not usable on its own directly with a phone as far as i know. Absolutely not the case.
Just switched from Zwift to Trainer Road because of previous connection issues (my cadence sensor/HR would randomly drop). TR has been much better with connections but for some reason my Garmin DUAL-HRM will connect but the HR just shows up as “–”. It is connected by bluetooth I have troubleshooted by making sure the sensors are wet, no other bluetooth connections, Redownloaded TR
As the HRM-Pro is capable of connecting directly to the Garmin App, I did just that to see how it works. The flow is pretty simple. So let’s go through it. Firstly, you need to have Garmin Connect installed, then click devices and add a new device. Then you get the following. It’s really simple. Well, yes. That’s what we want. Next! Ok
